metropolitan museum of art
after i finished the jewish museum, i headed down to the met. i wanted to see the exhibit on art and love in renaissance italy.
the exhibit was huge. it almost felt empty. the exhibit was very easy to follow. the rooms in the exhibit were based on courting, marriage, childbirth and the sexual aspects of courtship. i would recommend taking a look at some of the objects in the exhibit. some are pretty unbelievable. i thought this one was particularly creative. it was a nice mixture of painting, sculpture, dishes and even baby cradles from 1450! the artwork was beautiful. lots of the pieces were two sides and were displayed so that you could see both sides.
overall, definitely worth a stop. the met never fails to please.
