centre pompidou - musee national d'art moderne
after the louvre, which i mistakenly thought i would just revist on tuesday, i went to the centre pomidou - musee national d'art moderne . (the louvre is closed on tuesdays). the museum pass again got me into this museum and skipped the entrance queue, which was not large. i got to the museum around 4:45. this museum also wins points because it is open late just about every night of the week. (one of largest pain points with this trip was that everything seemed to close at 6 pm!) this building is incredible. it acts as home to many different types of venues including a movie theater, library and the modern art museum. the permanent exhibits are on the fourth and fifth floor of the building. before heading into the exhibits, i did ride the escalator all the way up to the top. it was my first beautiful view of paris. i could see the sacre coeur and the effiel tower. it was a little particular that the museum coul...
