paris

i just wrapped up my trip to paris that was approximately 48 hours long.  i do not usually do these sort of "preview" posts, but i wanted to point out a few things as opposed to repetitively mentioning it in all of the subsequent posts!

before heading into the louvre, my first stop, i bit the bullet and bought the paris museum pass - 2 day version.  it cost me 39 EUR.    i was a little nervous since i was about half of a day in when i purchased it.  i also was not sure if i would spend that much on entrance fees.  well, it turns out that i spent that and more (although a few would have been skipped if i did not buy the pass).

To summarize my trip and the EURs saved, here are the stats:
- EUR 10  at the centre pompidou
- EUR 10 at the louvre
- EUR 8.5 to go the top of notre dame
- EUR 9.5 to go to the top of the arc de triomphe
- EUR 9 at musee d'orsay
- EUR 6 at musee rodin
- EUR 3 at the crypte at notre dame*
- EUR 8.5 pantheon*
- EUR 8.5 sainte-chapelle*
for a total cost of EUR 73

the '*' are the museums or monuments i would have skilled without the pass.  so, well worth it!
